Mandi is a proud rank-and-file member of the Rutgers American Association of University Professors - American Federation of Teachers (AAUP-AFT), where she organizes alongside faculty, postdoc, and graduate student workers at Rutgers University to secure equitable benefits and health and safety protections in the academic workplace.
Mandi has a robust history of labor organizing as a graduated member of the Student Workers of Columbia (SWC-UAW Local 2710), where she served as a bargaining committee member, successfully securing their first contract in 2022.
